Legal in »  Vintage, Legacy, Commander

n00b's Thoughts » This guy is clearly legendary, so why doesn't it say "summon legend" you ask? This guy predates that. Hard to believe I know. He's also the first ouphe printed even though he didn't become one until Ice Age I think. An interesting thing to note is that the creature type Ouphe is preferred by R&D these days for small humanoid creatures that are like faeries but lack wings.

Art »  Old crummy art.

Notes » I'm doing COTD until Gren comes back. Oof, it's ouphe week.

o.O I've never even seen that card before. Not even in MWS.

It's disgustingly awful.

With a quick glance, it seems The Dark only has 5 or so useful cards, and most of those have been reprinted.

I'm kind of a sucker for The Dark. It was basically Magic in hard mode, and it could work if the cards also weren't so underpowered and casuals didn't whined so much about drawback mechanics. Also, it had Uncle Istvan, for cryin' out loud! :D

And yeah, this is very very bad. Though, to be fair, a 2/2 for 3 isn't that terrible. Sure, 3 Green mana should get you a 4/4 or higher nowadays, but eh, creatures sucked back then. Don't think too much about its ability - you'll only get something useful out of it every red full moon if the planets align correctly, but if you do, it's still kinda cool.

EFF: 3/10
ART: 9/10 (Hilarious art, tho - you can easily tell that: 1) This guy (ouphe?) is totally stoned and 2) there's a zero percent chance that he's wearing anything at all)

Actually, there are no 4/4s for GGG. There is a 4/5, though... and a 6/1... and a better 2/2... and three that scale with turns/mana...

How is this even worth any mana?  The ability is flat out terrible.

Well, it's worth 1G by being a 2/2, since, you know, that's the cost of Grizzly Bears.
