Eew. *refrains from voting because having to place a vote in every category is stupid* Half the categories (such as best blogger, best artist, etc.) are of things I have zero interest or knowledge in, and thus a vote would be pointless (and possibly damaging as to deciding a true winner), and a few, like biggest spammer, are ones I do not wish to endorse in any way.

I'd also like to note that I tried really, really hard to get each category to 3 people. There were several categories where there were too many ties to make that happen. So it is what it is.

EDIT:
And for the 18001st time! Voting is required in each category in order to eliminate ties. There were so many in the nominations that I don't want them to reflect again here.

If that means you're not going to vote, then so be it.

It's sad that you can't leave any of those ballets unmarked because it forces you to vote for someone you either: 1) Don't like. 2) Don't think they deserve it. 3) Don't even know all that well enough to believe they deserve being nominated.

It's sad that everyone's whining about it.

Don't vote. Simple as that. If you don't like a category, or you don't think anyone in a given category deserves a nomination, then obviously you don't care enough about either the site or the people, no offense.

I can understand things like Rivershock's argument on IRC, where they don't listen to XCRadio, and the like. You can still at least randomly vote someone for it, even if you don't know who would deserve what.

This is one of those "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations. I've done it before where I didn't require a vote in each category. Then got feedback about ties existing. I try to fix it this year, and people whine.

You take what you get and you like it, dammit! :P

Er. How does it affect whether there'll be ties? Wouldn't doing it this way simply add or subtract votes from the grand total?

By obtaining more overall votes in any given category, the probability of a tie is decreased.

I will vote, but I also think forcing a vote on everything is not the best thing to do.

If there were really so many ties, then probably certain categories shouldn't be considered... or it was just bad luck for that year.

This is something out of the twilight, Exarion. I have all 3 of the Most Trolling Members nominees on ignore for very good reasons. Hence, why I can't submit my ballet.
