Odin's Eye
Group: Trap Card
Type: Trap
Icon:Continuous
Once per turn, during each player's Standby Phase, you can select 1 face-up "Aesir" monster you control. Negate its effect(s) until the End Phase, and look at all cards in your opponent's hand and all Set cards they control. Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation.

Notable Rulings:

-You can flip "Odin’s Eye" during the Standby Phase and activate its effect at the same time.

-If you don’t activate its effect at the same time, your opponent can Chain to this card’s activation. [

-You can only look at your opponent’s cards when this effect resolves, they are not revealed for the
whole turn.

-You can activate this effect if your opponent has no cards in hand, or no Set cards, but you cannot activate it if your opponent has no cards in hand AND no Set cards.

-You can Chain "Odin’s Eye" and/or its effect to an effect that activates during the Standby Phase.

-If "Odin’s Eye" is destroyed during a turn when you activated its effect, the targeted “Aesir” monster no longer has its effects negated.

I wouldn't say that. Using it in the opponent's Standby comes with no downside at all. (And might even benefit if they steal your Nordic God that turn. ;p) Seeing all their cards isn't exactly a weak ability. (It can also save you cards by identifying their chainable cards so you don't waste an MST or something on them, even.) The only real downside is that it's useless without a Nordic God.

I'll go ahead and give it a semi-arbitrary 7/10. I don't find numeric ratings all that useful in determining a card's usability anyway.

I'll have to agree with River - being able to see your opponent's cards is a great deal for a skilled duelist, and this card really shines with the toolboxing power of a Nordic deck - but there's just a minor understatement on River's part... Needing an Aesir almost completely kills this card.
Seriously, what part of having a 4000 ATK, immune to S/Ts beater that revives himself doesn't screams "I win" already? This works best to get rid of any backrow threats that could kill your Aesir fattie, but you can only do so after you summoned it, and only at Standby. So, Compulsory? Still triggers. Fiendish? No dice. Warning? Yeah, you get the picture. Suddenly, 500 LPs for Haxx0rizing your opponent's cards just doesn't seems like a bad deal.

EFF: 4/10
ART: 6/10 (Bonus points for mythological reference, but still pretty boring)

It is good with an aesir and clearly only then. But honestly yeah, by then you should've won already. But yeah its nice to see what's coming. You know what else does that though.... Well I'm not on my computer so I can't tell you right now.... Lol there is that lame monster to see your opponent's hand and a trap to see their set cards....

1/5 cause it can't be chained to when its activated and you get to see stuff... But getting that very hard to find monster and getting it out on the field... ugh

I may be mistaken but odin isn't the only aesir monster. But yeah not enough support for this guy to work.
