Interesting that there was never a thread of this game here. o.O

So about a year back when YGO started spiraling downward into an unbalanced mess (and seeing my favorite Blue-Eyes falling short with the support that came), I decided to officially retire from YGO completely and at best just kept occasional tabs on where the trainwreck was heading towards after.

During the meantime of that, I picked up something else:

Naturally you should know that this has been a thing for a good while....but for me, the simplicity behind it has still been such a welcoming departure from the overly complicated headache I had to endure with YGO all these years that I instantly got hooked . >.>

So much that I ended up spending money on it and was borderline addicted... x____x

Nowadays though I'm barely on it anymore, partially coz it got boring after Stomach ragequit the game and Jason wore himself out with all the excess grinding. :P (the only two people aside me who played it)

But yeah this makes me wonder if any of ya would be interested in getting back at this. (or giving it a first time shot if you never tried)

You kinda did gave up back then after raging about the coin toss being a BS mechanic for half of the game. (which I agreed with)

But the alternate to that was obviously to make a deck that DIDN'T rely on coin tosses like I did, but you never got arsed for it.

actually i quit mostly because of the ever evolving game forcing you to use new decks. i had a beastly Garchomp deck for shredding EX pokes that functioned well on its own. then half of its key cards got cycled out

Expanded still existed, and so did the ladder/tournies for it.

that allows for even more broken BS that got cycled out for good reason, if i was to get back i'd get back into proper play, not expanded

>Implying one deck is all you were gonna main, which in turn is you treating it like YGO.

I made like 5 different decks and each having potential to do wonders in its own right. You on the otherhand only had your mashed-up Fire deck and THEN just the Garchomp one. (and this is AFTER you bought a bunch of packs yourself and had plenty enough cards to experiment on your own like I did)

i tend to find a deck i like and stick with it, (See: super quantum in ygo) i'll experiment with other decks sure but at the end of the day i'll always have one favourite/most effective. in this case it got hammered into the ground so i just didnt bother trying anymore

besides with you bugging me about ESO and so many other games in my backlog (off the top of my head Shantae: half genie hero, Donkey Kong 64, finishing Kingdom Hearts) i don't really have time to take it up again

Well, i can safely say that with Evolutions, My brother and I both got back into this. Shame that Evolutions was such a shit pack. But since then, we've both been giving it a decent grind. Not the 200 Wins a month that we prolly should, but decent enough. He's trying to build Dark turbo Giratina. And I'm just trying to stay with Haxorus until DDE finally rotates out. Which won't be for a while. So there. Also, we're BOTH trying to build Decidueye GX/ Lurantis GX, to the point where I bought 2 copies of the Forest Shadow deck so i don't have to worry about Rowlets and Dartrixes.

I've tried to play this like 3 different times, but could never figure it out.  Like couldn't figure out how to get new cards.  I love the Pokemon tcg.  It was my gateway drug into tcgs. Maybe I need to try installing it again.

1. Theme tournies (that require tickets, not tokens)

2. Trainer Challenge (with different theme decks)
