Weekly Create-A-Card Contest!

 

Welcome to the weekly create-a-card contest!
Congratulations to 
J3tricson, who won the contest on 03/21 with Explosive Grid! Its nuke effect saves only cards on the same column as that card is placed when it detonates, but it gives a chance for each player to move a card per turn so they can try to save it.

Everyone who participated will receive 1 x Pre-Synchro Era pack as thanks for participating. For winning this contest, J3tricson will instead receive his choice of 3 x Pre-Synchro Era or 1 x Pre-Xyz Era packs.

This week's theme, chosen by warrain, is about backfiring.

Some cards are risky to use, like The Paths of Destiny and the pre-errata Ring of Destruction, being able to finish a game making you win or lose (or draw).

Create a card that may cause you to win, lose or draw a duel.

Okay, this one is too simple. Here, I will demonstrate how east it is to take last place with this criteria.

 

Traditional Destiny

Normal Spell

Can only be activated one the first turn of the duel, at the start of Main Phase 1. Flip a coin, then apply the corresponding effect.

Heads: Your opponent loses 8100 Life points.

Tails: You lose 8200 Life points.

If the coin flip cannot be completed, then both players lose 8300 Life Points. Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to the resolution of this card's effects. After this card resolves, remove all copies of "Traditional Destiny" from your Deck for the remainder of the Match.

 

There. Instantly banned, effects the decks in between rounds, and sums up how certain people feel about the current state of Traditional and Unlimited formats. Yay.

Normal trap
Only activate if each player has at least 1 banished card: each player takes 500 damage x each of their banished cards.

If D.D. Dynamite isn't even limited. This shouldn't be either. Lol

Fate Is Always Kinder To One
Spell Card
The player with more cards in their Deck (if any) banishes cards face-up from the top of their Deck until they have the same amount as their opponent. Then, both players roll a six-sided die. If the results are not the same, both players draw a number of cards equal to their respective result, and the dies are rolled again. If the results are the same, it becomes the end of this turn.

Effect: During each player's Standby Phase, the turn player may add 1 of their Banished cards to their hand. If they don't, they take 2000 damage. During each player's End Phases, the turn's player's opponent may discard 1 card. If they do, that opponent banishes 1 card from their own Graveyard.

Ruthless Sandclock

Continuous Spell

During the End Phase: Both Players banish 1 monster from their Extra Deck. The player who banished the monster with lowest ATK takes 1000 damage. A player that has no monsters on their Extra Deck at that time takes 1000 damage.

 

Sounds like Xyz Extreme!!, but more extreme and less Xyz.
