Weekly Create-A-Card Contest!

 

    Welcome to the weekly create-a-card contest!
    Congratulations to TheLaughingMan-JDS, who won the contest on 12/06 with Eon's Echo! This power Counter Trap Card will negate just about any effect your opponent can throw at you, be it Spell, Trap, or Monster, and at almost no cost; but it requires a special type of monster; a monster that's a Trap in your Deck.
    For winning this contest, TheLaughingman-JDS, you may pick 3 packs from pre-synchro era or 1 pack from pre-xyz era to add to your collection. Everyone else who entered, as thanks for participating, you may each also pick 1 pack from pre-synchro era to add to your collection.

    This week's theme, chosen by TheLaughingMan-JDS, is "Kuri" monsters. These monsters, from the iconic Kuriboh from Yu-Gi-Oh's earliest days, have occasionally graced the face of the card game with their generally adorable complexion...... and annoying stall-tactic effects.

Cannot be used as a Fusion Material Monster. A Fusion Summon of this card can only be done with the above Fusion Materials. You can Special Summon this monster (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards from your Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: Equip this card to a monster your opponent controls. During either player's turn: You can destroy the equipped monster, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK the destroyed monster had on the field. During your opponent's turn, at damage calculation: You can banish 1 "Kuri" monster from your Graveyard; you take no battle damage from that battle (this is a Quick Effect). This Card gains the combined ATK points of all Fusion material monsters used for its summon. once per turn, during either player's turn, you can double this card's original ATK and if you do it returns to its original ATK during the end phase. you can Tribute this card to special summon "Kuri" monsters from your graveyard up to the number of fusion material monsters used for this card's summon.

This card cannot be destroyed by battle during the turn it is Summoned. Any battle damage this card inflicts to your opponent is halved. When your opponent declares a direct attack: You can discard 1 card; Special Summon this card from your hand in Defense Position, and if you do, all face-up Attack Position monsters your opponent controls must attack this card, if possible. When this card is attacked, it gains DEF equal to the ATK of the attacking monster at the end of the Damage Step. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster you control, except "Sponge Kuriboh"; halve this card's DEF (permanently), and if you do, add that lost DEF to that target's ATK, until the end of the turn.

No one said Kuriboh cards can't be considered in actual decks. This card works best when the first monster your opponent attacks with is a direct attack, and especially against many monsters, because then the battle damage can stack up quite nicely. Imagine playing this when your opponent had 3 Blue-Eyes. You would deal 1800 damage in total. If you were against 5 Blue-Eyes, you would deal 9400 damage. But that's only if your opponent decides to be cocky and go overkill. If they had to clear some monsters through attacking too, then of course they can't attack again and the damage is drastically reduced.

I was just suggesting a name for it ><

 

Though probably OP seeing as BoM is still limited, and that's basically strictly better with upsides abound.

......Semi-Limited? Did it finally change?

Though probably OP seeing as BoM is still limited, and that's basically strictly better with upsides abound.

Ohh, I thought you were somehow telling me that it's OP with Ghostricks. And it totally was. My edit was that I set a maximum of 2 draws.

 

Also, yeah, Moon is still limited.

But Kuriboh is my thing! And i can't think of an awesome effect for Kuriboh Hydra now... so sad...

 

Kuriblessing

Normal Spell

Activate only during a Main Phase after you have played "Detonate". For each "Kuriboh Token" you control, activate 1 of the following effects. You can only activate each effect once.

* Special Summon one Level 5 or higher Fiend or Spellcaster Monster from either player's Graveyard.

* Each Fiend or Spellcaster Monster you control gains 1000 ATK and DEF until the end of your opponent's next turn.

* Draw 1 card for each "Kuriboh Token" you control.

* Banish 1 card from your opponent's Hand for each "Kuriboh Token" you control.
* Add 1 "Kuri-" Monster from your Deck to your Hand for each "Kuriboh Token" you control.

 

There we go, and no, i meant Detonate and not Multiply. I'm not that terrible of a person.
