I'm offering people who are interested in the game (but don't want to play paper) to learn how to play different formats. Commander/EDH, Standard, Legacy, Modern, casual, w/e. Not vintage because vintage is cancer, but so is Legacy and Modern but not nearly as bad.

Either MWS or Cockatrice (I'd recommend Cockatrice) is fine. Either you can build your own deck or take a decklist from somewhere and build it for the format it's intended for. Commander/EDH is the oddman out as it's 99 cards plus your general vs a standard size 60 card deck. Or there is Tiny Leaders which is just like commander except 49 cards + your general and nothing can be 3 CMC or higher (basically 3 in total mana cost).

Hit me up in a PM here or add me on Skype: briangren

If you don't have Skype, then you can find me on steam: Rarehunter2000 or bnet: Gren#1537

For those that play/played Force of Will, the EDH format is very similar... so I've heard.

EDIT: Weeknights preferably.

For those of you that's interested/still interested/etc, I have cockatrice ready to go. Played a game on it to make sure everything was good. If you prefer to use one program over the other, I can get MWS as well.

I have a Commander deck ready, no other formats yet.

For online there is Cockatrice. For real life, there are pre-release events this weekend and release events next weekend for Shadows Over Innistrad, the return the plane of victorian horror. There's werewolves, vampires, corpses stitched together, ghosts, and humans solving mysteries.

>_> Seeing as I've been out of the game for a while, I haven't really looked into game stores, much less even spotted one in va beach.

I did a cursory check on Google. There are plenty. Find one and go check them out.
