Weekly Create-A-Card Contest!

Welcome to the weekly create-a-card contest!

This is a experimental, regularized version of the create-a-card we're used to.

I'll be running this parallel to the original thread for a few weeks to see what you guys think of it.

The Rules

  • Each member may submit up to one card each week.
  • Each round of the contest will last for one week.
  • The cards entered in a previous week's contest will be placed in a poll during the new week's contest.
  • Comments on the cards up for voting are encouraged, but not required
  • The winner of a round gets to decide the next open theme for the contest.
  • Be creative!

This Week's Contenders

Spoiler

The Theme

Rituals have come a long way. Back in the day, Rituals were bland, bland cards; for the longest time, they sported no effects, and were unwieldy due to the massive disadvantage they created, as well as the unreliability of having to gather both the monster and its ritual. Still, at that time, it was one of the few, unique methods where a player could Summon a high-level monster without prior commitment of resources to the battlefield. Since then, they have occasionally dominated the meta, through such decks as Gishki, or even the Nekroz just these days.

Make a Ritual Monster.

You may also make a Ritual Spell for your monster.

You could always branch off an existing ritual... But I'll add a Ritual Spell.

(I'm terrible with names but here we go)

Ancient Creator of Mayhem
Light/10
Fiend/ritual/effect
3000/3000
Must first be ritual summoned with the ritual spell "Unbinding Contact". When this card is summoned, your opponent can not activate any card effects. Monsters can not be special summoned from the extra deck. Once per turn: destroy 1 set card on the field, then if it was a monster, inflict damage equal to its original defense to the owner of that monster.

Unbinding Contact
Ritual spell
Used to Ritual Summon "Ancient Creator of Chaos" by tributing monsters from your hand/side of the field whose total levels equal 10 or more. Once per turn: you can banish this card from your graveyard; add 1 "Mound of the Bound Creator" from your deck or graveyard to your hand.

When any player's monster declares an attack: You can discard this card; negate the attack. During your Draw Phase, if this card is in your Graveyard, instead of conducting your normal draw: You can add this card from your Graveyard to your hand.

I just finished playing Dies Irae, ok?

Lucifuge, Minister of Midnight
5* DARK/Fiend/Ritual/Effect
ATK: 2000 DEF: 1500
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Midnight Tribute". This card is unaffected by other cards' effects that do not target it. When you pay LP: This card gains ATK and DEF equal to the LP paid until your opponent's next End Phase. If this card battles a LIGHT monster, after Damage Calculation: Shuffle this card into the deck.

Midnight Tribute
Spell - Ritual
This card is used to Ritual Summon "Lucifuge, Minister of Midnight". You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal 5 or more. Once per turn, if you control "Lucifuge, Minister of Midnight" while this card is in your Graveyard: You can pay 1000 LP; Special Summon 1 "Midnight Fiend" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard.

If one knows where to look, lulzy and flavorful things abound. If you can pay the price without meeting your own demise, these are some pretty nice cards. ;P
