► Yu-Gi-Oh! General Discussion - Forum Rules ◄

These rules are to be followed at all times, and are subject to change.

1. Global Rules apply.

2. If there's already a sticky or an active topic for something, do not make a new thread for it.

2a. If the last thread covering the topic you want to discuss has over 2 weeks without replies, you may start a new one. Be sure to notify the staff about this as well.

2b. Any card-related news are posted on this topic. Topics containing info that is already being discussed on that thread will be deleted. If you have confirmed info that isn't on the topic, please contribute there instead.

3. Do not post Decks here. Post them in the Deck Depot instead.

4. Do not ask for rulings here. We have a Card Rulings forum for that.

5. No trading requests and/or advice. If you want to trade, use PMs or go the the Real-Life Card Trading forum.

6. No Discussion on Fictional Cards. We have a Create a Card forum for that.

7. No Duel Requests here. You can click here to go to the chat and ask for a duel.

7. No "Are you going to X tournament" topics.

8. No "Who lives in X location" topics.

9. You CAN make a "X versus Y" topic, but provide enough material for discussion other than personal preference.

10. All Spoiler and Future Releases topics MUST have a confirmation source, else the topic will be locked.

11. Unless you're the original poster, you CANNOT bump a topic which has 2 or more weeks without replies.

Please follow these rules and enjoy your stay!

   Apparently enough of you aren't reading the lovely board rules topic we have pinned at the top so from now on I will be handing out warnings for each and every duel request I find.

I'd like to emphasize these two rules too:

View PostDarkChaos, on Nov 11 2005, 09:06 PM, said:

Global Forum Rules
12. Do not post in a topic when a question has already been answered, when rules are broken, or when a topic is inappropriate just to say "This topic needs to be locked." or anything similar to that. This is known as mini-modding, and will not be tolerated by any of the staff.
13. If you see a topic that is inappropriate, do not post in it. Leave it for a staff member to handle. Posting in such topics will result in the same punishment as the original starter of the topic.

I don't care how easy it is to poke fun at newcomers in their failure to read the rules. When you post in topics that need to be locked, you also look like you fail to read the rules yourself. Don't put down people who request duels here by responding to their post; it makes you look even worse than them.

Regarding recent rule changes in allowed language. Yes, you can now curse and swear like a sailor. Key word here being "can". I want to make it very clear that I will be stomping much harder on anything that looks like flaming from now on especially if it contains strong language. You're allowed to use whatever language you want because you're mature adults, act like it. If you have a problem with what someone says attack their argument, not them. Sentences like "you are a fucking moron" don't contribute to discussion so don't even ask me what is considered flaming. If you think it might be, it probably is.

Be nice to each other.

Well, the rules needed a bit of revamping, since the last edit was about 4 years ago!

Rules are updated, so be sure to read them!

Rules updated again!

Since we have a news topic for all YGO-related info again, remember to post new stuff there instead!
