WIND Level 4
[Winged Beast/Effect]
You can discard 1 "Harpie" card; Special Summon 1 "Harpie" monster from your Deck in face-up Defense Position, except "Harpie Channeler". You can only use this effect of "Harpie Channeler" once per turn. While you control a Dragon-Type monster, this card's Level becomes 7. This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while it is on the field or in the Graveyard.
ATK/1400  DEF/1300

A Level 4 Winged Beast, Harpie Channeler sports 1400 ATK with the ability to discard a Harpie card to SS a Harpie defensively from the deck once per turn. And, if you a Dragon on your field, your Channeler becomes Level 7. Channeler will also be treated as Harpie Lady on the field and the Grave.

Harpie Channeler has the advantage of being part of one of the longest-spanning archetypes in the game. It gets searched by Hysteric Sign, revived by Hysteric Party, and can do heavy damage to the opponent's backrow with Hunting Ground.
Like all Harpies, this one can be utilized with cards like Icarus Attack and Shrine of Mist Valley. And Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms can have quite a bit of fun with Harpies, as well as cause Channeler to hit Level 7 and open up a Rank 7 Xyz Summon.

Channeler essentially works as an easy Xyz card purposed with turning your dead in-hand cards into field advantage. Since Harpies can now easily gain loads of cards in their hand with Sign, Channeler is the card that will put them to use. Of course, Channeler, when used with Harpie's Pet Dragon, will pull out Big Eye or Dracossack, making the Harpie deck much more lethal.

Channeler's Harpie-only, though it can be used in variant and hybrid Winged Beast builds, like Black Harpies or Mist Harpies.

The card suffers a little from summoning its buddies in Defense Position. In such a fast-paced meta, even an offensive Harpie's Pet Dragon wouldn't be scary. It's ATK is also quite low, even if it does make it searchable by Flying Kamakiri (though, summoning Harpie Lady 1 and having Hunting Ground will probably even things out).
Channeler is the Dragonfly of Harpies, so running 3 is necessary. No other Harpies have the power she does.
The card's very susceptible to Veiler and other effect negation, since it can be simply run over on the following turn.

Harpie Channeler is a great addition to Harpies and puts them on the competitive map, even if they still pale to other meta choices. Though, with the upcoming Harpie Dancer, that could all change...

Usability: 9/10, great in Harpies, but it's effect is limited in a way it really doesn't need to be.
Art: 8/10, why TCG censor?
Meta: 1/3, I'm expecting Tier 1 once Dancer's legal, but for now the deck might just randomly pop up here and there.

Note that Dancer isn't really needed in regular Harpie variants, and Dancer has an OTK build based on herself which doesn't need any other Harpies either, so I don't think Channeler's usability is linked to Dancer's. Of course, there are good Channeler + Dancer plays.

That being said, Channeler is pretty much Summoner Monk for Harpies. Monk has that broken Hysteric Sign combo, but Channeler has her merits too. Being able to insta-Rank 7 is nice, and bringing out Pet Dragon outta nowhere it's rather cool as well. It can easily make Lightning Chidori to compensate for the card loss as well.

Channeler and Sign are pretty much what booster Harpies to playable, semi-competitive Levels. About the only bad thing about Channeler is the lack of backrows, ironically. Lack of backrows means that more people main Veiler and/or Maxx "C", which totally shut her down.

Not a bad card at all, it's just the meta not being friendly to it. Once stuff slows down, Harpies will probably do well with their ability to drop a turn 1 Shock Master and Summon Dracossack or Chidori at will.

Advanced: 8/10 One of the core pieces of the new Harpie build, definitely.
Art: 8/10 Censor or not, it looks good. And the judge mat is gorgeous~

I wish her effect to treat her as lv7 was optional like Star Drawing.  Then Pet Baby Dragon would be pretty cool to use.  Since it's not though Pet Baby Dragon sucks in the deck imo.  I also don't foresee Harpies ever being tier 1 even with Dancer.

I love those girls. I could really use it. It's a good card and some very needed speed. Very much so. This us what they needed as to join in the Xyz era.. And other in general aspects.

4/5 cause she is stronger than the average Harpie lady.. But that's about it
