Since the lot of you were hoping to exploit the free Name Style items from the past couple of weeks, I have deduced a method to burst your bubbles.

Since they were only free as compensation for wiping your previous styles, I have decided that allowing you to continue further profit off of them is a bad idea. As such, the prices on them have been returned, and all Name Style items have been deleted from user inventories. Yes, I made sure you all had some name style active before doing so.

I have also enabled something new for you all: The Bank!

The Bank is a method of investment and storage for your XCBux. Currently, only Savings accounts are enabled. I will continue to add more with time.

A Savings Account will cost you 500 XCBux to open, as well as a small deposit/withdrawal fee, but you will gain 5% interest off of the XCBux you have stored within that account. Definitely worth the long-term investment.

I'll continue to add more things and tweak a few more in upcoming days. (Lottery, I'm looking at you.)

While we're on the subject of the Store, can you add some feature that would allow us to use multiple XCBux or Scratch-Offs at the same time? Having to click 40 times to use 10 Scratch Offs is a terribly tedious task :/

5% APY? No thanks! That would take over two years to break even with the 5% deposit and 5% withdrawl taxes. (I could calculate the exact time, but I'm lazy and haven't used those formulas in a while.) Then when you add in the $500 cost to open it, which is quite a lot of my current funds, I don't see any way to profit from this.

I'm not 100% sure that it compounds per year. If it does, then I'll tweak it. But Savings accounts aren't meant to profit quickly, either. But 2 years is a little much, I'll agree.

the old banking system had a weekly percentage, or biweekly..  pretty sure it was weekly though.

DB, two years was the math to break even not counting the initial $500 downpayment. Then a third year would show a 5% profit. In real life I can do a 3 year CD and get far better interest rates than that.

Sadly, no.  The current CD rate for 3 years tops out at a magical 1.35%/annum.  That means after 3 years (without a deposit or withdrawal fee), you would make 4.05% profit.  DB's current system is actually more profitable than real life banks.

Ain't that America...

Had me crackin up for almost an hour when I read this. Only thing I changed was seeing Stomach as Pinkie Pie & watching him get shot full of lead on site while Dante & I drove away, making sure to leave DB his "evidence" against Stomach. :P
