Hey, Im new to YVD. I was asked to download it from a friend, and so I did and we tried playing, but the server duel didn't work.

But, before you guys say that I haven't done the corrections, read the other posts, or give me links, I did.

- Reinstalled
- Rebooted my PC
- I downloaded it to the Desktop
- Changed the settings.ini File
- Changed the Jabber Line
- Ran the program as Admin
- Allowed it through the firewall
- I am at a personal home computer
- Changed Username in Settings on Deck Page

But still, when I try a server duel and click on Verify Account after ending Username and a password (same on every time), both the buttons just go grey, and after a while, it says 'Connection Error.'

I've been trying to solve this for like a couple days, hope anyone can help!

You may be using the older version of YVD. I don't know if the actual website has been updated, but a new version came out with new servers. I'll let someone else handle that, but other than that I can't think of another problem.

Stay patient! :)

Well yeah, I think so. I have the 9.1 Version. I just downloaded it yesterday.

It works for my friend though, and he downloaded it at the same time as me. =/

Try temporarily disabling your anti-virus and/or firewall and see if YVD works while they are down.

YVD is allowed through the antivirus program. Firewall is off.

did you try the jabber edit while it is installed on the desktop?

Also try opening the settings.ini file in admin mode.

Delete your current executable and replace it with this one, if you've already done what Rayth posted.

If it still doesn't work, please post a screenshot of the error (something like an Imgur link would be fine).

the executable on the main site is fine. Everyone else normally gets this problem fixed by installing YVD to the desktop and editing the settings file there.

I don't know, i tried everything they suggested except creating a Static IP, which isn't possible because the router stuff is blocked with a passcode.

Perhaps your password is incorrect? That gives a connection error as well.

You cannot. To test to see if this is the issue, try using a new username and password (entering an unused username automatically registers it). Something like d3eiegr8edgi for username should be fairly unused.

That'd require access to the database which like 1 person on the whole of xc has.

I read the post this guy made and made the exact same corrections including the one wherein his problem was fixed. I also read some other forums that guided me through the process but no go. While I cannot take a screenshot it says attempt to connect timed out and I have had other various messages when I commence the /server sequence. It won't let me chat in website or desktop as well as the restriction from being able to duel. I would like some help if that is possible.
