Yamato is a short-print and Bujins are only going to get better come Shadow Specters. Chances of that bitch's price dropping are so slim.

tcgplayer.com has a great pricing technique, as they show prices across multiple vendors, so you can get a solid average.

I typically use ebay and only look at completed/sold listings.

Thanks DB~

What I mean by the price going down is, once people realize that the deck isn't going to be Tier 1 like most people are thinking that it is, they'll wanna get rid of the Yamato's for cheaper than what they are now. And we are getting that Monster Box for JOTL, so maybe that'll bring down the price as well, who knows lol.

The thing is, though, all of the competitive players already recognize that. They're all jumping on that Dragon bandwagon. It's the casuals that think the new tactics of the deck are awesome that are keeping its price stable.

Well, from what YCS Toronto just showed us, Bujins aren't fast enough yet. Well that or they need some fine tuning before they can top a YCS or even win one, that being said damn Dragon Rulers are still too powerful D: I am glad that a Dragunity deck made it to the top 8 or so though, glad to see them get in the spotlight for once.

Day shift sounds pretty darn cool. I sense more Hangouts in your future, Newman D:

Your lazy eye is cool though, it makes you unique >.O

Maybe so~

I've been on day shift before, just the transition from night to day shift is a ton harder than day to night. It's gonna be hell trying to get up at 5 am on Tuesday morning, I may have to set like 10 alarms xD

Hmm, unique huh? Never thought of it that way lol. But I still don't like my lazy eye xD

Blog post go!

Very hectic couple of days, yesterday I went with my dad up to Pennsylvania, which is where he is from. Well, lets move back a bit. About a year and a half ago my grandpa, my dad's dad, passed away due to prolonged Lung Cancer, the surgery was a success, but they never got it looked at by a specialist due to my grandma believing that the family doctor in PA knew everything. Do I think that she was a cause in my grandpa's death? Kinda, but I'm not gonna talk about that.

So since my grandpa passed away and all their kids grew up and moved away it was only the two of them in a pretty big house for years, well my grandma couldn't keep up with it and eventually put it up for sale (and it sold with it only being on the market for 4 hours! Damn!!) Well that was my dad's childhood home, so he has tons of memories there. I just got home from work yesterday and he asks me if I can go with him up to PA and help him get a few things from my grandparent's house and to keep him company on the drive up there, since from where I live it's about a 6 hour drive depending on traffic. So we drive up to PA and we stay at my grandma's new house, which, is still a pretty big ranch style house but I'm not gonna even comment on that lol. Well as she is showing us the house we eventually get to her new bedroom, and I see something that pissed me off so badly. Let me backtrack yet again, you may need this info to understand why I got so pissed.

My dad moved away from PA when he was 23 years old, even though he could have taken over his dad's plumbing business and have everything made for him, he decided to move away and make a name for himself somewhere new. Well my grandpa understood why my dad left, my grandma however, not so much. She still to this day despises my dad in a sense for moving so far away and she possibly loathes my mom for marrying my dad and essentially "chaining" him to his new home, which in turn means that she probably hates me since my mom was pregnant with me before my parents got married, but I really could give a damn less about what she thinks. Anyways, now that you have that info lets go back to what pissed me off.

So as I was saying, we get to her new bedroom and what do I see? Picture frames of family members. Not just any members of the family, only members of the PA family, none of my family. Instantly I get so pissed and have to walk out, I was clinching my fist so hard that every vein in my arm was about to burst, I always gave my grandma the benefit of the doubt but that drove me over the edge, hence why I said I could give a damn less about what she thinks. Well moving on, then we ask about how much she still has to move from her old house and she says a lot, even though she's had 3 weeks to do it and then she says in probably the only time she's ever been happy to see me is "Oh! You two can help us move!!" Yeah, pissed me off again.

So skip to today, we wake up and eat breakfast and go over there and help out a bit with the moving we get there before everyone else and grab a few things from my grandpa's garage and my dad breaks down, I walk away and give him some time to think about things since I know how tough this was on him. A bit later my uncle comes up and tells me and my dad to come with him my grandpa's garage. My grandpa lived in his garage, there was nothing he couldn't fix on a car, my dad was basically raised in that garage. And my uncle hands me and my dad a beer and sets a can of Old Milwaukee (Old Muk as it was called by everyone that drank it since it is a terrible tasting beer, but it was my grandpa's favorite) beer in the spot where my grandpa always sat when he gave advice and everything. Instantly my dad and me burst into tears, it took us a few minutes to gain our composure again, when we did the 3 of us drink our beers in silence for a while then we talk about stories that happened in that garage. Not much happened after that, we left PA and just got back home. But I did find a few cool things while moving xD I have pictures~

I'm gonna paint the hell out of some happy trees.
Spoiler

Robin Hood? Nay! Newman Hood!!
Spoiler

That's right, I found a Bob Ross painters set and my dad's old 74' Shakespeare Bow, and yes I had to take a picture with it like that, don't judge me.

Well that's about it, I feel good, feels like there is a sense of finality finally. I didn't get to see my grandpa much since we lived in separate states, but he was still one of the best men I will ever know.

You go to PA, and you don't even say howdie fuckin' do. No, but seriously...

I have similar issues, but with my maternal grandparents. My mother was the middle child in her family, and she was always mistreated by her mother, and she had a rough life growing up. I've only met her a couple of times in my entire life, and she was always rude to me, and the rest of my family. She doesn't have a single picture of us either. One time, she called my mother like 9 years ago asking for money and crap, and she wanted to talk to me for some reason, and the first thing she said was, "What? You don't love me? You don't call." I don't even remember what I said, but I just handed the phone back to my mother 20 seconds later. Oh maybe because I don't know who the hell you are, and I don't know why you suddenly have interest in me after like 15 years, and you're just terrible, sorry. I understand that pain completely. My paternal grandmother I can easily relate to though, and it was also tough when she passed. I too had to help carry out all of her belongings, all the pictures, the memories, even some toys I used to have as a child that she held onto, and my heart shattered. I hope you're feeling better about all of this. As much as I wanted to act out on my maternal grandmother, I couldn't because I have massive respect for my mother, and well... she's STILL my grandmother.

Hmm... Bob Ross... you with bow... which means you take the square root of x, and then you add the 1 and...

I honestly forget how to do these types of things, oh well lets do it!

What's going on everyone, Newman here.  It's been over 2 years since I made a blog post on the site, and that was for a couple reasons.

First reason being, work.  I got super busy with work and didn't have a ton of time to do much else, all my spare time I put into playing Final Fantasy 14 (which is an awesome MMO).  Secondly, I just fell out of playing YGO, I just.... Got bored.  If some of you remember, my work schedule made it very hard to ever go to locals so since I had all these cards and had no way of using them I just stopped.  I actually gave away a ton of cards, but of course I kept a few decks.

Moving on, something huge happened in my life recently.  I bought my first house!  At 27 years old!  Weeeeee!

I bought it from a family friend and its exactly what I was looking for, but this was my first time being on my own seeing as I lived at home my entire life and I only had stuff for one room so having to spend a ton of money to buy new furniture and such is always fun!!! Not.

A lot of you guys probably know this, but living alone is sad as hell.  Not to mention that right before I moved into my house my family dog passed away, which didn't help.  Yes, in this house I am living alone, by myself and it is lonely as fuck.  So now I have to get out of my antisocial shell and go out and find a future waifu or such, so that should be fun!

Uhh, I think that's about it.  Glad to see you guys again, I won't lie I missed a lot of you guys, and I know I haven't been as proactive in keeping up with ya'll.  That's one of my faults, I know about it but I just can't fix it.

tldr, life is busy and it sucks.  Missed you guys.

Yeah, I agree. Playing Yu-Gi-Oh! just doesn't have that allure to it any more. Although, I really back ARC-V being the best anime of the lot. There are a lot of cool decks to play with right now - more than there have ever been - but unfortunately they're utterly outclassed by the meta. I guess nothing's changed there.

Wow, 27 and already bought a house? I think nowadays that's a pretty good achievement, moving out at that age. Maybe it's just in the UK where the average move-out age has gone up. Not sure. Anyway, yeah living alone can be pretty tough. I can imagine socialising being pretty difficult. Who do you speak to? Who do you hang out with? Will they actually want to do something as often as I do?

Well, either way. There's always XC . We'll get a hangout going once some other members show an interest.

Lol, well, everyone's different. Living without family is fine - it's the social interaction that would be worse.
