He didnt say it was useless, he just said it was too hand reliant. The closest he said to useless was Eraser & Loki, of which I only agree with the Loki part of that. Thats what I understood, anyways. I love Slifer, too. I just need to get a good draw focused deck.

Once I figure out how to perfect my Shooting Nova Deck.

The problem with slifer is he is too hand dependant. He will also be good in Heavy control decks. You carn't just put him into any deck like you can with oberlisk. He is good but he is by far not the best of any of the god cards.

Id say Ra's worse. Ra needs a deck completely focused on life point manipulation & needs quick gaining methods after you summon it. Slifer can go in any deck that's focused on holding cards or has ways of increasing the hand size (Dark World could work, but youd have to only use cards that draw & discard instead of just discard. Obelisk is just the most versatile.

Exactly what i said.... As for Ra need a buff in my opinon it's kinda horrible. It's all about life at the end of the day and all it takes is a well placed burn spell and thats game.

Also Versitility Is king.

anyone know when shock master was released? they said to expect slifer a couple months after it...but i don't know when that was >.<

You may have missed Slifer. Shock Master was immediately after Number 30 as the first Shonen Jump Alpha Promo card, which is now completely online & no longer making paperback issues.

well i've yet to see a single english version of the new slifer on ebay...and i got a sja subscription 2 or 3 weeks ago

well here's some more specific info on the release date:
"Due to order processing time and different shipping times depending on location, we can't say exactly what date your card will arrive, but once we send the list of all eligible subscribers to the shipping company on August 1st, they will need approximately 2 weeks to prepare and ship all the cards. So by August 14th, all cards should be in the mail. From that point on, it could take anywhere between 1 and 7 days for your cards to arrive. So everyone should have their cards by August 21st, but make sure you keep an eye on SJalpha.com and the @shonenjump twitter account for all the latest details!"
