Ok as many of you will be aware, you have been unable to server duel since Friday due to server being down. Due to this we have came up with a new server and here is how you fix your YVD:

1. Locate your YVD Installation Directory.

2. Find the file "settings.ini": Posted Image

3. Open it with Notepad.

4. Find the JABBER line and edit it to match: Posted Image

The IP for you to copy/paste: 208.117.34.244

Remember run YVD as admin and this will work. Enjoy your server dueling again.

To those of you in XCC: Round 1 deadline is wednesday. Round 2 will start thursday.

Thanks for the fix guys!

Might I suggest creating a new YVD installer, so people who are just downloading it can have the "fixed" version?

Easier said than done, Sho. :P

We'll have that done eventually, though. This is a more immediate fix.

I'm sure I can prob work out a single program you run from the YVD directory and it could just update the settings.ini file.. *goes to look into it*

Why not just upload a fixed *.INI file?

Because said ini file stores user info as well. It would essentially reset the program to factory settings.

It stores all of....five settings? Playmat location, deck folder location, log folder information, yvd display name, and server duel nick/pass. All of the above are pretty easy to redo...anywho...

Fix is a fix, good work guys.

Very nice.  I think a factory reset .ini available for download wouldn't be a bad idea for anyone who messes up their YVD in general though.

When  you go to edit the file, right-click it and select "Open as Administrator" or "Run as Administrator."

onionvalhalla: If you continue to have issues, please open a topic in the YVD Helpdesk forum, located here:

This way, we can spend more time helping you individually.

It's where YVD is installed to. If you have a shortcut on your desktop, right click it, and open location (or similar)

Where did you install YVD to? If it's in program files, reinstall to desktop or somethin. Make sure all hidden files and folders are being shown (again this fails if its in program files)
