There are these packs of yugioh cards at my local walmart that have been selling for years for $5. The packs have twenty random cards and one random foil card. MJ Holding Company is listed on the back of the package.I know it is affiliated with Upper Deck and I know about the lawsuit against them.

When I bought a pack I came across several counerfeit cards such as a notebook paper thin "Morphtronic Cameraman." Have you guys had the same experience?

Can't say that I have. If they're selling them that cheaply, though, they are undoubtedly counterfeit.

I've seen counterfeit packs with a Thousand Dragon that had 12000 ATK XP
Usually though, I see them at small Chinese stores; Never at big chain stores.

Can you post a pic of that paper-thin Cameraman? Sounds interesting.

Closest I've gotten was a clear plastic case with a pack (RDS), a duelist pack (Jesse), 20~ random commons, 5 holos and 1/4 chance of a Shonen Jump Premium pack or something.

Everything was legit in the 2 I bought ($6.99 each), except 4 or so of the holos were Spanish xD

And yes, one of mine had a Shonen Jump pack, had 4 promos but they were crap >.>

As for the fake I remember buying a Cyberdark Impact bootster box in China for 40 or so RMB (like $7 back then). EVERY pack in it had an ultra rare, and there were name errors on every other card (Dark Lucius -> Dark Beelzebub). Sold some for $1 each when I got back and lost the rest xD

If the packs your talking about are the ones I'm thinking about, I picked one up way back in the day.  All it really was, were a bunch of gutted commons from Starter Decks, with one of the Starter holos in it.  Never bought them again.  Was legit though.

Only time I ever got hit with counterfeit cards, was at a regionals in a mall in San Antonio, there was a guy selling packs at kiosk for dirt cheap (like 2 to $1.50).   Bought two packs of Magic Ruler and two packs of Legacy of Darkness.

All the packs had the EXACT same cards.  No rares at all.  And the font on the cards was off too.  And they all had LOB on them too lol.  Was sooooo pissed.

I think I bought a pack though it would have some of the dragunity cards I needed since it had one of the synchros on front it sucked the synchro was the only thing good the rest were random cards although I dont think it was by the company you mentioned But hey maybe I should take a look at those again some looked a little fishy I didn't inspect them too much they just looked a little off

Are the real cards made by MJ tourney-legal or not though?  They check those things?

redeyeszack: that's the one I'm talking about. It had cards from 5d's starter deck one and 2 along with cards from crossroads of chaos in it. The very thin cards were from the crossroads of chaos.

On the back of the cardboard package it says they get their cards from the secondary market.
