This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with this effect.

Besides; It's a decent beater with his 1800 ATK. I think Earth/Pyro is a weird combination but whatever.

It's a pretty good searcher, but I wonder how long this will survive on the field.

Yeah, a Gemini that needs to destroy something AND use a Normal to get useful. That is very situational, but at least the payoff is nice. But it doesn't matters, because Sanyxz is the to-go beater for Gem-Knights. I mean, sure, you could go Garnet instead, but there are much easier ways to get him out of your Deck, like Rabbit. This guy is just perfect when you want some dumb muscle out of your Gem-Armadillo. Then, fuse him with Obsidian and get him back for some damage. As such, a single copy is enough.
As an added bonus, if you draw crap and can't get your Gemk Fusion, this could fetch him out of your Deck. Even if he's very slow to do so, it's still worth it. Neat.
