December's Deck of the Month Winner is Juli-Mizrahi! Her deck "Garde said the monster sucked" was nominated and voted for by you, the community of Xerocreative!

January's Deck of the Month is open for nominations. Be sure to nominate your favorite decks from January in this thread:

Feel free to visit her topic in the Depot to comment on her deck. You can find that topic here:

Below is also her decklist and explanations. Congratulations Juli!

You probably know my ratio by now, 21-14-7... nothing new there. The monster is Ido the Supreme Magical Force... and at first glance, yes, it sucks, but with some of the newer cards and a little creativity, we might just have something here.

Monsters -- 21
-------------------------------------------------------------------
3x Ido the Supreme Magical Force
2x Apprentice Magicain
3x Old Vindictive Magicain
2x Super-Nimble Mega Hamster
3x Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
2x Rinyan, Lightsworn Rogue
2x Effect Veiler
1x Plaguespreader Zombie
1x Sangan
1x Morphing Jar
1x Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning

Since Ido's biggest flaw is that it won't let you summon while it's out most of the cards here are flip effect monsters. You can set freely with Ido. Swift Scarecrow and Effect Veiler are discards to activate.

Oddly enough, this is the first time I've ever seen Rinyan being useful, recycling Rykos and being another flip effect. Being a flip effect is the ONLY reason Rinyan isn't still useless for specifically this deck.

Of course, Ido destroys ALL mosnters when it revives itself, so I wouldn't suggest overextending...

Spells - 14
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1x Dark Hole
1x Heavy Storm
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Monster Reborn
1x Pot of Avarice
3x Pot of Duality
2x Solar Recharge
1x Charge of the Light Brigade
2x Venom Swamp

Nothing too special here. Venom Swap is the most unexpected thing to be found in the spell lineup, and it's there because of Ido. Everytime Ido revives itself, it'll be at full power regardless of how many counters were on it before, and if there are enough counters, Swamp will destroy Ido, triggering its revival next turn.

Also included are 2 Solar Recharges because of the 6 LS (3 ryko, 3 rinyan) in the main deck.

Traps - 7
-------------------------------------------------------------------
2x Call of the Haunted
2x Solemn Warning
2x Safe Zoone
1x Torrential Tribute

I'm not really sure if I want to use Widespread Dud here, but it's the most versatile of the 3 I was considering... the other 2 being Pole Position and Generation Shift. Dud won't protect Ido from being destroyed by battle by itself, though.

Extra - 15
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1x Formula Synchron
1x Armory Arm
1x T.G. Hyper Librarian
1x Ally of Justice Catastor
1x Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
1x Iron Chain Dragon
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Stardust Dragon
1x Scrap Dragon
1x Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
3x Gachi Gachi Gantetsu
1x Number 39: Utopia
1x Steelswarm Roach

The extra deck is mostly just tossed in as a few nice if i have nothing else cards. There won't be a lot of Synchro play, and since Ido prevents summoning most of the time you wouldn't be allowed to anyway. Gachi Gachi, however, is going to get constant use from a total of 9 lv.2 monsters in the deck, and it can detach a material to protect itself from Ido's destruction.
