No.
FTK happens on the first turn of the duel, not giving a chance to your opponent play (except hand traps).

I heart Tempest Magician.  This is also a fake ftk since I went 2nd.  Tempest Magician dealt 9500 damage, and another 6k+ would have been dealt on his turn from my 2 traps.

First turn E-Tele into Overdrive for Risebell and Cleric, make Bounzer and Cleric banish Esper Girl.
2 turns later this...(at this point had a Wizard that banished Jumper):

• Tribute Cleric, summon Overdrive, ss Esper for Cleric's eff (banishing E-Tele f/d)
  
  
• sync Esper and Wizard for Barkion to get E-Tele to hand and ss Jumper
  
  
• sync Jumper and Barkion for Thought Ruler
  
  
• Overdrive eff to summon Risebell (make him lv6) and Psychic Commander

Well, Risebell is lv3 Wind who can only increase lvs, and Overdrive Teleporter only summons lv3s so Beast isn't so common without Esper Girl combos.

i didnt screen it but it went a little like this

I go first, play duality to get Granel, Normal Army of Wisel, play geartown, end

his turn play card destruction, do some derpy shit ending up with Tidal and Redox and reborning my Gadjiltron that i had to discard, Overlay into Drago sack summon 2 tokens Trib both for LaDD

i didnt get a chance i literally had no chance at all he cleared my monster with dark hole it was so gay and so unfair i just felt like Punching the guy

and the worst part is he had FOUR cards in his extra deck so it wasnt even a Good Edrag Deck
if this is how the shit decks do then the good ones must fucking FTK you and then Assrape you repeatedly

Spellbooks are maybe the only thing that can break that opening with LaDD.All other times,just scoop and save time.
