I got a problem with connecting to the IRC chat.
Most of the time the connection times out.
Sometimes I get in but after around 5 lines of chat I get disconnected because multiple efforts to connect have failed.
I have tried to enter the commands /server canadian.xerocreative.com etc but they wont work.
I also tried editing the settings of my firewall but it already allowed basic IRC chat.
This problem started after the last windows update with windows power shield installment.
Please help

Try /server canadian.xerocreative.com:6667
Or ensuring that traffic through port 6667 is allowed through your firewall.

Alternatively download mIRC (http://mirc.com) and use that with /server irc.xerocreative.com rather than BasicIRC
