LC: Since you're old, we'll start out easy. Why did you choose the name Shadowdemon?
SD: Haha. I don't have the slightest clue, I've only had one other my original was xXxMarikxXx after my favorite yu-gi-oh character (apparently he was secretly a pornstar too?) I wanted to switch to something more creative and wanted it to seem cool. Having failed miserably, that is what I came up with. Now I am more affectionate of my nickname, SD.
LC: Coincidentally, one of my first nicks was ShadowClown.
SD: I honestly have no idea how you keep track of all of your names

LC: Do you even remember when you joined XC or why?
SD: Gosh, I was 16, I think, yeah. Why, same reason as 90% of others, YVD. I was dragged from there to the forums by Harpuia, then DarkParadox, and grew from there.
LC: And how old are you now?
SD: 23, will be 24 this August.
LC: So almost 8 years here then?
SD: This will indeed be my 8th year, come November 18th would be my forum date.

LC: You took some time off somewhere in there. When did you leave and when did you come back?
SD: I took time off after my retirement in 06, a year and a half to focus on my first year in college and get accustomed, which went well. Ever since then it had been periodic checkups every few weeks or months depending on how busy I was, up until last January where I had more time on my hands and came back more actively.
LC: What do you think about XC today compared to when you retired?
SD: For a lot of the time I was uncomfortable, because of the lack of activity and the fact that everyone I knew left, which was one of the reasons I never was solid about staying but more recently things have evened out and I feel comfortable again because of people who actively participate like yourself, Kenny, etc.
LC: Aww thanks. And what position(s) did you have at the time you retired?
SD: Mostly forum-wise, I was Admin. I had some fluke IRC positions as well I can't recite to you, but only because Andrew forced them on me when he made me Admin ^_^.
LC: Yeah, he does that.

SD: If you were still in charge, what would you change about the forums?
LC: Honestly I don't even know, I'm so far out of the loop. One thing I think I would change or add is more of a focus on gaming in general, but that may be a personal bias, having being a fan of video games more recently.
SD: I wish that place had more activity, but I don't think people really care. That and the pokemon section.
LC: As do I... I'm a fan of Pokemon as well though I haven't had much time to put to building my team and I wish I mad more time for gaming. Andrew had the whole lets wifi idea that dropped into nothing, I think that would have helped immensely.

LC: I was hoping LW would work, but yeah... Do you have any other hobbies outside of gaming?
SD: That was a trick question to get me to say drinking wasn't it. Fine, drinking. There, I said it. I like watching television as you know, White Collar tuesdays, Vampire Diaries and occasionally TNA thursdays, Supernatural and Smallville. I wish I could get more into reading but other than Harry Potter and Vampire Diaries (which I picked up after liking the show) I can't think of anything new to get into.
LC: I also picked up the book after watching the show. So far I've only read a couple chapters of the first book, and the entire 5th(?) book.
SD: I read the entire series to date and have really liked it so far. I love how it differs from the show too, it makes it more interesting IMO, like two different worlds.
LC: Agreed.

SD: You also just depressed me a little because other than that I can't think of anything else I like doing besides eating and sleeping. I feel like a really boring person now.
LC: That's life. Only so many things you can do. Do you not listen to music? Watch movies?
SD: Music is tricky for me. I don't like or not like it. I'll listen to the radio from time to time, usually whatever's on, as far as groups, I do like the Fray, and (no homo) Ke$ha. I do like movies too, all genres. For comedies I don't usually laugh when watching them so it makes me think I have a poor sense of humor, but if other people are around and laugh, it makes it funnier and I'll laugh.
LC: Eww Kesha. GTFO RIGHT NOW.
SD: We like too many of the same things already I had to miss somewhere....lol. I also think she's kind of attractive in a trashy sort of way and I'd probably marry her, but that may be just because she's rich.

LC: Moving on. I think just about everyone has seen your bromance with DarkBlaze. How and when did you two meet?
SD: I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about. We are just respected friends... Bromance... <3 <3...I had taken notice of him just before my retirement around the forums, and I recommended him to Andrew as staff. Anyway I've talked to him on and off when I was around, and then we became closer in the last year through our similar..."extra curricular activities"...erm...and our mutual friendship with the wonderful Celsius.
LC: Haha you drunks.

LC: You don't play yugioh anymore, do you?
SD: No, and I was TERRIBLE when I did. I can't remember the last time I played YVD, but I still have my RL cards in a shoebox, a terribly constructed burn deck back when multiple gravity binds and two scapegoats were legal. How terrible... Favorite monsters+generic staples Raigeki Harpies feather duster etc = my deck. I'm a terrible strategist in general, so I never really had a concept of the game. I was pretty ignorant but always had fun.
LC: So you haven't played since 2005? Wow.
SD: I guess.

LC: Which forum skin do you use and why?
SD: Um, I switch. I like both the darks and light colors, right now it's set to Black Sea. I think it's my favorite of all. The black one's okay, but I also like the new v-rocking, but on that one it's hard to read status comments.
LC: Black Sea is the only one I don't use lol.

LC: If you could be one other member of XC, who would it be?
SD: Normally I'd say DB because it wouldn't require much of a change since he loves drinking as much as me, but he cut down drastically. Plus, Me be Admin again? Been there done that. I'd say either you or Setever because I'm jealous of your writing talents.
LC: So then you'd definitely want to be Setever.
SD: Another + to DB, he is capable of getting more girls than me but when more is the number 1 I guess that could be anyone. Still...lucky bastard.
LC: lol.
SD: ...Maybe it is a bromance. -_-

LC: If you could get one member to come back to XC, who would it be?
SD: I miss Earth's Visitor aka UltimaDargon, he made most of my sigs for me =)
LC: I finally talked to EV at the end of last year.
SD: I talked to him a few months ago on AIM, he told me he was doing well.

LC: What is one thing that XC members would be surprised to find out about you? (that is true)
SD: I'm a borderline alcoholic. Stop looking at me like that. Shut up. I hate you. Erm okay, as I touched on before, I actually hate IRC. Not the people on it, the thing itself, because Andrew forcefed it to me.
LC: Borderline... Yup, that's surprising.
SD: Shut up!

LC: Do you have any pets?
SD: One dog, a teacup yorkie, he's a family pet. He's okay, but I'm more of a cat person but I can't get one until I get my own place since my mom is allergic.
LC: What kind of cat would you prefer?
SD: I haven't put that much thought into it. As long as it's cute, starts off as a kitten and is either silver or gray and white, or orange and white like garfield, I'm cool.
LC: >.>
SD: <.<

LC:  Are you a mean drunk? If not, what kind of drunk are you?
SD: Ahahaha. Definitely not, I'm not even a mean person. There was ONE time when I was a vulgar drunk, not vulgar towards anyone just in general, which my sisters found hilarious, that was the result of 3 games of beerpong and 5 shots of vodka. Under normal circumstances I'm just a quiet drinker but can occasionally be talkative. I'm a quiet guy IRL, and I think alcohol just magnifies your personality.
LC: I see. Would've been funnier if you were mean, and then have a little kitten while watching romantic vampires and listening to Kesha.
SD: I liked you up until about 12 seconds ago.
LC: I liked you up until Kesha.
SD: Touche.

LC: Who is your favorite non-staff member?
SD: Erm, it's probably sad that I have to think about this one. Is Setever staff?
LC: He is not :(
SD: Then definitely him.

LC: Describe yourself in 5 words.
SD: Short, quiet, honest, friendly, loving.
LC: I should've said they had to all be true. Oh well.
SD: Oh ho! I like you again. The first two were easy, the last 3 took a minute.

LC: You mentioned Pokemon earlier. Do you still play the games?
SD: I have Heart Gold which I love, and would still play it time-permitting. I beat the game and haven't had time to start building my competitive team, but I'd like to. Having never had a legitimate in game competitive team I'm sure it will be difficult. I do plan to eventually, I hope. I'm not crazy about the whole Black/white thing, I'll probably skip that gen, I looked through the Poedex and they all looked corny, I couldn't even pick 6 I liked to build a team with.

LC: Weird, I actually like a lot of the new pokemon. I do admit that there is a lot of dumb looking ones. What is your favorite Pokemon, out of any generation?
SD: Nidoking hands down. He's just so cool looking. <3
LC: Too bad he sucks. I always wanted a nidoking/queen after seeing Gary Oak have one.
SD: Haha I think that's around the time it started and then the Pink one on that stupid Island with the Hyper Beam that time made me all wow, and it stuck.

LC: Do you have any other video games that you play?
SD: I tried WoW again for a month which went fine and may get into again, but most recently DC Universe Online, which definitely needs work but for a newly launched MMO I really enjoy it. Haven't renewed my sub since the first month expired but I plan to.
LC: I have never played WoW so idk why people are so into it.
SD: Still never beat the Uncharted or God of War series which I love and would play more if I had the time, and also, even though I beat it ages ago it merits a mention, Batman: Arkham Asylum.
LC: Are you excited for the new Arkham City?
SD: Definitely. Can't wait for it. I just hope I'll have time to play it. It's funny, I'm not a busy guy but never seem to have time to do what I want, horrible time management skills.
LC: Yeah, passing out cold can do that to ya.

LC: Do you have any hidden talents?
SD: Not a single one that I can think of. I'm a decent tech guy, but I pale in comparison to DB. I wish I was good at drawing and art but unless we're talking below average stick figures you'd best look elsewhere.
LC: Your hidden talent is very hidden then.
SD: ...I'm...a good...drinker?
LC: You have the liver of a cyborg. Not sure if that's a talent...

LC: Do you have any other vices besides drinking?
SD: Hmm. I don't think I do, no. If I do, drinking obviously outshines them to the point where I can't think of any right now. =D

LC: Choose (while sober): Being on irc every day for a year or marrying Sun for 2 years.
SD: Ugh. Can I substitute Sun for DB? I mean...um...er... I'd have to go with IRC. Nothing is worse than being around sun for more than few few seconds than to make fun of him.
LC: Do you have a job? Do you go to school?
SD: I finished school this past May with a Master's in Accounting, I work part-time in retail on the weekends which is miserable. I need to fix up my resume and get serious about looking for a real job.
LC: Pretty damn good...
SD: It would be if it could help me get a job o.O So far no luck, but again, it's my own fault being somewhat lazy, can't blame it all on the economy... Plus, I have terrible interviewing skills having nopt been on many in my life.
LC: I can only imagine how you show up to interviews...
SD: Being more quiet by nature definitely hurts when you're on a interview that requires you to talk, and I'm terrible at thinking on my feet too. I don't show up drunk! The drinking happens after the rejection call/e-mail! Wiseass...
LC: I see. Quick, name all 50 states! J/K.
SD: Bahaha, I can't even name 3, sober.

LC: I guess it's final question time. Pie or cake?
SD: Booze!
LC: Uhhh... sure. Glad we finally got this done
SD: Me too hahaha.

@ hoiguy: Isn't he ShadowDemon? xD Nobody else has a bromance with Blaze, unless Andrew is hiding something from us D:

Anyways, cool interview. It seems SD has the same troubles for job like I do xD

I'm sorry, SD, but I'm gonna have to cut off our bromance. You're getting to stalker level, bro.

:(

That wasn't even my fault! HE'S the one that kept bringing you up...I think he likes the idea of us being..."together". Maybe it turns him on, I don't know, but can you really blame him? We are two sexy dudes.

Fine, you wanna call it quits? I was gonna break it off with you anyway. I need to be around people who aren't trying to be things they're not! *cough* sober *cough*

Seriously though...you were brought up an awful lot.  -_-

It is kind of weird that my full name never got spelt out even once during the conversation.

I'm hoping to get my act together this week, starting by updating my resume. I really do have to manage my time better...haha.

lol that's my bad, your name was supposed to be in the first sentence (it is now). I had to retype this interview 3 times due to a forum error (the one I told you about DB). :(

It's a shame that you hate IRC.  Too bad though because I'm going to start forcing you to come online.
