Guardian Eatos
Attrib: Wind
Type: Fairy/Effect
Level:8
Atk: 2500
Def: 2000
This card can only be Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned when there is a "Celestial Sword - Eatos" on your side of the field. If you have no monsters in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can send a face up "Celestial Sword - Eatos" equipped to this card to the Graveyard to remove from play all monsters in your opponent's Graveyard. This card gains ATK equal to the total ATK of the monsters removed by this effect, until the End Phase. If this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon 1 "Guardian Dreadscythe" from your hand or Deck.

Guardian Dreadscythe
Attrib: Earth
Type: Zombie/Effect
Level:7
Atk: 2500
Def: 2000
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with its own effect. If a "Guardian Eatos" you control is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card from your deck or hand. When this card is Special Summoned, you can select 1 appropriate Equip Spell Card from your Deck or Graveyard, and equip it to this card. If this card is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by a card effect), you must discard 1 card to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard.

Fridays CotD, do you know where these are from? Of course, the pictured image and the text are different. We are going by the text defenition.

Not something you expected huh? From hence forth, I declare Fridays "Freaky Fridays" (I know not very original). Fridays will be a day where you can explore your inner creativity and bring something new. Fridays will feature OCG (Official Card Game), CCG (Created Card Game), and others you won't expect (It might still include current cards, but it won't be what you expect). Your mission: Discuss this cards effect and how it could affect todays game, or post some interesting combos.

Deathsctyhe is pretty awesome in my book. A monster that can't be destroyed when you have cards in your hand? Awesome.

Of course, you can always just RFG or bounce it. Problem solved. But assuming your opponent doesn't have the means to do that, you have one awesome with you. And of course, there's tons of ways to protect it against such tricks.

Anime-effect Eatos isn't that good. While it shares the Special Summon effect of the real life counterpart, it also shares the Guardian effect of controlling a Celestial Sword - Eatos... perhaps one of the worst Equip Spell Cards ever. Then, comes the second effect. First, you need to send another Celestial Sword equipped to Eatos to the Graveyard. That means you need one equipped in another monster to Summon Eatos, and another to trigger the effect. Then, it gets a masive boost. I agree, it's really badass, and probably can OTK on the spot, but still. It's a extremely situational combo, and Celestial Sword Eatos is beyond terrible.

ADV: 6/10
ART: 8/10 (It's Eatos)

Celestial Sword Eatos... is just bad. And I mean BAD. So bad, in fact, that single-handedly lowered the scores of the two other cards.

ADV: 1/10
ART: 7/10 (Nothing really wrong with the art, though)

Dreadschyte: Equipping any Equip from the Deck is really cool, and the anti-destruction effect is nice... it would be much better before Stardust, though. It's main problem comes from the fact it depends on Anime Eatos being destroyed... and by battle, no less... as such, it also depends on Celestial Sword Eatos. Ugh. Cool card, but a chore to make it work.

ADV: 7/10
ART: 9/10 (Ohai Ryoji... good you lost that Tower chess piece on your head!)

well this is an annoying combo. It'll end up with some nice monsters... but really? I don't like guardian effect of needing it's equip spell on the field to summon it. and yes... this one's equip spell is lame. atleast it does increase attack unlike broken bamboo sword. but still... in order to use effect of destroying this equip spell, you'd have to use either a second copy of the equip spell, a giant trunade or some other means of returning it or just re-equiping it to another monster... it's ehh... and Dreadscythe is pretty good, keeps itself from beaing destroyed.

G.E. 3/5 cause it's just pretty annoying.
C.S.-E. 1/5 cause it's needed to bring out this slow set but it's such a lame boost
G.D. 2/5 cause it only protects itself, and it C.E. has to be destroyed in battle
