This is for Rulings not to to ask for the utility of a card.

And you just answered your own question with the other 3 cards. It's a mini archetype that revolves switching the cards around on the card zones for certain effects.

I recall that there was a trap that destroyed any cards that were on the same column as it.

Still, wrong place to post is wrong.

It didn't catch on because players randomly move there cards out of twitchy paranoia anyway, half ppl at tournaments appear to be hyped up on coffee. They are only effective in the video games, not even in yvd. I'm pretty sure there must be rulings somewhere about the pattern in which you lay your cards, but I havent found it.

This goes with the same reason why Quiz (i think that's what the card is called?) doesn't work either. People shuffle their graveyards and field a lot...

Yeah.. most people don't realize you aren't supposed to move your cards, at all.. except cards in your hand..

And yes, Blasting Fuse is the trap that destroys all cards in the column.  I use it sometimes, even without the switch cards.

I use Storm Shooter in my wind deck. Really useful for return synchros or big monsters in the same column since usually everybody summon the monsters in the same column.

If i remember correctly, you can put cards on the field in any order, but they technically cant move without an effect.

So, 80% of the jump should have been disqualified :P

I must be like the only person ever who always makes sure never to shuffle their Graveyard or field and keep all their cards in the same Column...

Then again, I ran Question for a while so that might explain my respect for this.

It's question.

But Shuffling graves isd a dq.

I move my magics and traps/ face downs a lot to see what they are and get them ready for activatinon.

Technically, moving monsters in your monster zone and Spells/Traps should be a DQ too.

I wasn't saying I did that.

(lolifiwasplayingcrystalbeastsImightproplay)

I meant like, , because chain burns was one of my mains for a while, I would set up the cards i was going to chain in order, and if something messed up the order, such as spell trap removal by and opponent, I would move them all close to eachother again, and rearrange.

Or monster wise, If I'm running my empty jar, And I have two morphing jar 2's and a 1 on the field, I want the 2's close to eachother, so if my opponent kills the 1, I'll move my 2 2's close to eachother.

I should have clarified my statemenet.

"Technically, moving monsters in your monster zone or Spells/Traps in your Spell or Trap zone around is a DQ too."

Moving those things closer together, although most don't realize it, is illegal. Since it doesn't matter though nobody really enforces it.

Yeah, my regionals is coming up Saturday. And it's not like I can be, "JUDGE, HIS MONSTERS ARE IN HIS SPELL TRAP ZONE"
Or "JUDGE, HE'S REARRANGED HIS BACKROW".

I know a lot of the judges there, they wouldn't do that.

But if someone's shuffling his graveyard, I can call that. Because I've got a few easy wins that way. People do still run question from time to time in this format. It could be a free special summon.

If the opponent was running a card that cared about the position of their field (Storm Shooter/Rampaging Rhynos/Alien Infiltrator/Needle Wall/Blasting Fuse), they'll likely get in trouble for it. Otherwise, probably not, though it is still against the rules.

(And personally, I NEVER rearrange my field, Graveyard or RFG zone. EVER. I also hate it when people do.)

Its not just about running certain cards though, it's also about being able to go back through the graveyard and see what's happened in the current duel. It can help on a lot of disputes, cheating, and attempted pro plays.

Be sure to mention this to as many ppl as possible, i noticed cheaters do alot of slight of hand, also its alot easier to psych a person out that does that alot once you get them to stop figgeting.

Another thing that bothers the hell out of me is ppl that shuffle there hand.

Well, shuffling your hand is legal, though.

Yea, you aren't supposed to shuffle your field/grave. its a good way to get a DQ. It is one ruling that not many judges are too anal about.

Shuffling your hand isn't illegal, and is actually encouraged. I've seen duels lost over someone who didn't shuffle their hand and they got the one card picked out of their hand by a  discard.

Actually, Ruki, you're not alone on this one.  I actually make it a point to use a mat with marked zones so I'm sure of which column my cards actually started in.
