for some reason, i cant upload photos. is it just me, or is something up with the forums?

i heard someone say that the whole xcbux thing was being done again, is that true? is that why i cant upload a photo?

Does your photo fit into the restrictions? [I.E. "All photos must be no larger than 100 kB. Photos must be no bigger than 150 pixels by 150 pixels."]

I just successfully changed my photo under "My Photo".

Or do you mean Attachments [like to posts]?

As for the XCBux thing, I couldn't say...but judged how it went last time I'm going to go with no, personally. That being said, it could just be a permission that wasn't re-ticked when XCBux was discontinued.

ok, when i try to upload a photo, it lets me upload it fine, then when i click "save changes", it takes me to a white screen. refreshing and stuff doesnt work, and no matter how many times i try to put a pic up, it wont come up.

What is the size of the picture you are trying to upload?

Can you post the image?

Scaling only scales the images physical size, not the file size itself, so if the file is larger than 100KB it won't work.

I call shenanigans!

What file extension is it? [Mine was *.PNG - Avatars only allow *.GIF, *.JPG, *.JPEG, and *.PNG so I would assume it is the same for your photo]

Also, Scaling could also be messed up for whatever reasons. Would it be possible for you to re-size it to 150x150? [If not if you send me the photo/a link to the photo, I can for you.]

I used to see the same issue when uploading photos myself. Rescaling the picture down to 150x150 fixed it for me.

I change my profile photo every once in a while.  It just takes the site a little while for the picture to show up.  No worries.  Just give it time.
