Irc Connection Problem

I need help, i cannot connect to Irc for some reason it says "connection unable to connect" and the reason says "software caused connection abort" and now i am stuck please help thank you
Well its not just with irc.scrollrack.com its with all my damn channels i cannot connect because the software caused connection abort or sometihin, some please help thanks you

your firewall, or router is prohibiting you from accessing the chats, you'll have to change your settings.

How would i manage to do that, i turned off my windows XP firewall and it still says the same thing

if its not a firewall, then its a router problem, or your ISP has blocked those ports, which some do, so, read the owners manual for your router, and call up your ISP.

This site explains some of the reasons you may be getting this error message. This error message in particular is a bit amorphous because it can be caused by many things.
Also, uninstall mIRC completely, and then reinstall it. You never know, sometimes parts of a program become corrupted and reinstalling it may solve the problem.
