It's quite simple really.

Kaikan has been posting here much longer than you have. Feel free to assist Kaikan by pointing out any mistakes in his set. If you wish to advertise your own set, you may continue to do so in your signature. Otherwise, this thread is only for Kaikan to post his.

You have to build a certain reputation with the mods before we allow the advertising to take place. Kaikan has done this. You have not. We usually don't support ANY unofficial sets at all, but since our OCG setmaker has been out for over a year now, Kaikan has 'unofficially' taken his place.

Keep your advertising in your signature, which is honestly more than any other mod would have given you. Most of us would have told you to simply stop.

How does one practically do this? Do i need to keep posting Until I get 200 post or more?? Kaikan has around 150 post I guess when he started making the Unofficial OCG SET, so is 150 enough?? what did Kaikan did to get his reputation? Or is it possible that he's a close friend with one of he Mods?? Please explain further?? :unsure:

is the NOTE not enough for people to distinguish the COMPLETE YVD SET from the TCG SET, I can post this NOTE "The COMPLETE YVD SET is RECOMMENDED for players who know the difference between OCG and TCG", honestly the simple solution is to allow me to make my own thread and just have that note in BIG LETTERS so everyone can see before they even download, I'll remove every post I made in Kaikan's thread with No problem, are the MODS of xerocreative that CLOSE MINDED -_-

I've tried to be nice about this, but it looks like this is going to be the only way to get my point across.

The reason behind this is to prevent YVD from having too many sets out there. With too many sets in existence, more and more people will begin to see this whole 'Bad Card' thing. It becomes confusing, and a vast amount of YVD users don't understand the difference. We do our best to centralize things. The more convoluted it gets, the less user-friendly it gets. YVD already isn't that user-friendly in today's software standards. We don't need it to be any worse.

XC has officially stated that we support both a TCG set and an OCG set. Kaikan is currently substituting the need of an OCG setmaker. We will NOT be supporting a set that contains both, as it is confusing to unpracticed members. As I've said before, you can continue to advertise in your own private manner, but XC will not be supporting it. End of story.

I won't publicly go at this with you any longer. If you wish to discuss this further, pm me.

Also, post count doesn't make that much of a difference considering more than half of our members are more active on IRC.

Be careful, this is Kaikan's thread, we may get in trouble for this, feel free to send me a PM for any additional problems regarding the complete yvd set, keep sending me those errors so I can make this the BEST COMPLETE YVD SET ever with the FASTEST UPDATES,

Earth Element, Level 6, 2200 ATK, 1500 DEF
when it should be

Old OCG Setmaker here. Checking in as I do every so often. Kaikan's done alright.

Stay on it. If I can ever return to setmaking, I'll count on you as a useful resource.

Also, Kaikan, I want you to take careful note of the "Ritua' series of monsters in the recent Duel Terminal. In this, you will find precisely why I'm the old setmaker in the first place.

Why?

Simple - we CANNOT use "Ritua" as Translators for this series.

Or, rather, we can't without making some drastic effect edits.

Why?

Simple.

Take a close look at the ACTUAL cards.

The "Ritua" series, as we've called it, has the following as its namesake - the katakana characters ri, chu, and a.

Of course, this IS meant to signify Ritua. There's simply no other term that fits, either thematically or phonetically.

But the thing is, when we make OCG sets, we are NOT making them in katakana. We are making them in Romaji. And Romaji don't know the difference between a "Ritua" card that uses these katakana, and a "Ritua" card that does not.

The matter becomes further complicated when we realize that the OCG fileage is being made not as a separate entity, but as an ADD-ON, an EXPANSION PACK, for the TCG fileage. In short, we have to deal with the Localized names Konami and Shueisha have given the TCG cards.

And guess what?

There are TCG "Ritua" monsters.

But here's the trick.

They are NOT "Ritua" monsters in the OCG.

Which TCG Ritua monsters commit this crime of confusing consumers?

EVERY card in the game that has "Ritual" in its name.

Why?

"Ritua" does not exclude "Ritual", akin to how "X-Saber" does not exclude "Double-X-Saber".

So, unless you do some editing, the Ritua series in your file works with many cards that it shouldn't.

Allow me to indicate such.

The Eviritua Ritual Monsters shouldn't be summonable w/ a non-Ritua Ritual Spell, right? However, I can use ARA with them in your file, because of this error. This shouldn't be possible; ARA is "Koutou Gishiki Jutsu."

Meanwhile, I can use various other Ritua supports alongside the "Djinni of Rituals". This should not be possible - their series is the "Gishiki Majin" series.



There are several ways of solving this.

1) Rename the Ritua series. This makes it impossible for any TCG cards to hop in with that basket of effects. I always like going with the exact katakana rendition in proper literal romanization; but the Vennom series teaches us that doubling one key letter can work too.

2) Edit every effect that works with the Ritua series, such that all OCG non-Ritua TCG Ritua cards are excluded. This would be handled by examining all of the OCG non-Ritua TCG Ritua cards, and finding common links in their names - or if necessary, blocking each and every one of them by exact name.
