You know what still annoys me... It's happened a number of times: I activate a Trap (not Continuous) and the opponent responds with Mystical Space Typhoon. And they think it negates my Trap (ex: Bottomless Trap Hole). This IS a universal thing that's happened more than once to someone other than me, right?

I did that when I was a YGO nooblet @.@
It happens to me on DN every now and then xD

I actually only have an idea what priority is... I'm not well-versed in knowing what stuff has priority.

Sho would have a more detailed explanation, but basically in TCG the turn player gets the option to put his/her effect as chain link one.

Apparently, I need to learn YGO because this guy can't read. I had gotten Ninishi (gives an extra Normal Summon) out via Nisamu (the one that summons from deck). As can be seen on the card text, nowhere does it say that Ninishi's effect only activates when it is Normal Summoned. In fact, it specifically says "while face-up on the field."

Every time I mention spell speed the opponent has no idea what I'm talking about.  I read about it in the very first instruction book w/ the Yugi/Kaiba starter decks so it's nothing new or complicated =/

I'm not a fan of the term "nomi", so eh.

But failing to read the actual card text which says you must first do X thing before trying to SS it in other ways? Way to derp.

He was about to top deck the Dark Hole that can't be negated that instead of destroying/sending/banishing actually burns all of the other person's cards making it so they lose by default for not having a 40 card deck AND the inability to draw.

I've been playing the game since it came to america. Each time I got a new rule book I flipped through looking for changes from the last. Never been in a turnament, but I would be able to accomodate to every rule change they had. When I started teaching my little brother how to play it aggrivated me everytime he made what I considered a stupid mistake. That was @ least 3 years ago. Even now he continues to fail to read the card text or doesnt pay full attention to what hes doing.

I had the same argument from another player the other day!  BTH never has them hit the gy ever.  The admin was like "are you serious?" whenever I explained the situation.

That is the stupidest duelist I've ever read the words of..... I swear, noobs overlook obvious facts like that just to piss us pros, vets, & experts off so we wont duel right & they can win. Wont work w/ me, but thats besides the point.

well i finally faced a noob... Not that bad really. So to start out this guy instead of the usual greeting posted blfu/blfy (bad luck f*** you)... so i just smile and continue setting a bushi he rams it next turn using a Leviathan mad out of tour-guides. So I  draw a marauding captain and summon it along with another one in my hand. and end my turn with those and bushi on the field. Next turn he try's to ram my captain with leviathan.... I promptly tell him that he can't because of the captain lock but not having heard of it he says he'll prove I'm wrong... so just smile and let him try to prove it, and laugh when he comes back and says "Your right!" so then a turn or two later as I'm  pondering my move he quits...

Yeah so noobs aren't hard to handle, just let them make their mistakes and be rude, smile at them, and then proceed to play as best you can.

I'm just glad i grabbed my warriors by mistake instead of cloudians...

That's how to teach people; you play awesome stuff so they know what the game entails.
